Hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) have been used successfully to help people deal with pain, improve health and accelerate healing for many years. The subconscious mind is very powerful. With a little help of Clinical Hypnotherapy in Sydney, the body can take control and either diminishes or eliminates pain and discomfort, help with healing and gets you back to a fulfilling and enjoyable life.
The human body is arguably, one of the most sophisticated yet complex entities in our known universe. The powers of the human mind are more so, yet as mysterious as it is, we are able to harness those miraculous powers and get you back on track.
Hypnosis has been used for centuries to help people undergo initiation rites and surgical procedures. Hypnosis was first used for medical procedures in the mid-1800s. There are many reliable sources describing this procedure in detail, which included amputations, with no other form of anaesthesia.
The body creates pain and discomfort for a purpose for letting you know or to signals you about something wrong going inside the body, and instant action is to be taken. That signalling process is very complex and receives input from many different areas of the brain. Once the injury or illness is reduced, the pain or discomfort should go, but depending on how those signals were processed, they sometimes don’t. Chronic pain and the associated disability do also affect your state of mind, leading to low mood, irritability and depression.
With the right help, hypnotherapy can be a vital part of your healing regime, in helping to harness and refocus your body’s healing potential, by allowing you to retake control of your body and mind.
Of course, it is necessary to rule out any physical reasons for the pain, including illness or injury. Once this is performed, we are able to help alleviate your discomfort and promote healing.
Many studies have now been done, many from prestigious universities around the world that proof that Hypnosis for pain relief is very effective. Neuroscientists are able to document the activity in the brain and the associated brain waves that are produced during hypnotherapy and link these to positive changes, including pain control and healing.
After making an appointment, you will be asked to complete an information form, which can be downloaded from the website. Bring this with you on your first appointment.
When you attend the consultation room, you will have ample opportunity to discuss your problems, your expectations and the expected number of sessions you may require. Most issues are dealt with in 1-3 sessions. Part of the success of this treatment is that you listen to the hypnosis session daily following your visit. Either you may choose to record the session on your smart phone, or the recording can be given to you on a memory stick. You can play this recording at times that is convenient which will help speed up your results. There is no extra charge for this. Depending on how you progress, you may need a shorter, fine-tuning appointment from time to time to keep you on track.
I would like to thank George for his fantastic hypnotherapy with a painful knee injury, which I had sustained one day before seeing George. I wanted to bring the pain down to a bearable level, and the day after the hypnosis my pain was down by 90% which, needless to say, allowed me to be functional again.
Scans revealed that I had torn my ACL at the time of the injury and so I found it even more surprising that the pain subsided so rapidly after the session with George.
I was very impressed and am very grateful for the session, which showed me that I have much more influence on pain reduction than I had previously though”
I was pleasantly surprised with my very first hypnotherapy session , I had some fear and anticipation around it , though I had some great reports from friends who visited George . I went there for pain related to slipped disc and sciatica .George’s voice is very calming and melodic , which lulled me in to what felt like a very deep meditation , I had awareness of my body but there felt a separation from my consciousness to my physical self .. there was no more pain .. nothing but stillness and serenity throughout session and I walked out feeling blissful and had reprieve from the relentless pain , and even though it has returned I feel with my ongoing visits I can manage it . I had problems with high anxiety public speaking and being in crowded places, especially social situations.
George was heaven sent. My first session with George revealed certain aspects of my mind that I thought impossible to control. Consequently my high anxiety has reduced significantly and I’m much more relaxed and in control of my emotions. My second session cemented the ideas of the first session and I feel now I can take on any situation.
Thanks to George’s professional manner and caring personality I can accomplish anything without fear. I highly recommended George to anyone that suffers from any affliction.”
